Can you tell a difference between the two?
Jegs has been out of VHT for the past 2 weeks and wil not get anymore in until the 16th.. so Im thinking about just going and getting some testors tint spray, but will it look the same?

Hook me up brother!!!! I want to feel the same!!!!!:D
Testors are good. You gotta spray a lot to get a dark shade. So plan on buying more than one can.

Testor's model tint sucked. Used it on some clears and when applied thick, it had a brown to it. VHT is the way to go.

VHT kicks ass. I did my corners and tails with it.

On summitracing.com it said it was used for window tint??? Does anyone actually do this? I thought it was just for the corners and such. :confused

what exactly are you trying to do? are you gonna...
a) lightly smoke the white on your tails, leave the red alone
b) smoke the white till it's completley black, leave the red alone
c) smoke the red till it's dark red or black
d) smoke the entire taillight till it's all black
i think a and c are your best options.
here's an example of option c...i think it'll match your wheels well. if my wheels were black like yours, i woulda kept this look.

for the tails, I will probably smoke the clear and then MAYBE smoke the red til it is a very dark red.
but I was just going to smoke the top, until I saw all of that.
I also will be smoking.. my front corners, side markers and most likely the fog lights to make all of the whites darker to match the theme of my car.. which is basicly all dark
*** if someone could PS my sig, I would love you forever. :) just do the corners and the fogs.

Don't get testors. If you put light shades its very GREEN. It would only look decent if you put very dark shades, almost black.
Plus it started chipping like crazy (I had it on my front corners)

Is it just me or does the model tint spray have a slight blue hue to it? I also tried to clear coat it and it just got milky. I wouldn't do it again with the model tint, maybe VHT this next time around.

make sure the model paint sits over night before clearing it ill post my corners tomorrow
testers all the way + clear coat. vht niteshades HAS RED TINT IN IT
put on thick or go home
NIGHT SHADES WILL LEAVE A REDISH/PURPLE TINT ON CLEAR CORNERS!
YOU HAVE TO CLEAR TESTER IT WILL CRACK OFF OR PEEL IF YOU DONT!
I also wet sanded with 1000 git before clear coating!

I don't see any red tint in mine......
and I clear coated mine right away....Night shades is an enamel paint, so I used an enamel clear coat right after it. If you go enamel + lacquer...then you get some ownage in cracking.

mine are all blacked out... it looks nice, but I must say its alot of black... like you my car is black with black wheels etc. there is hell of alot of black now... I'm thinking about stripping the paint (how can I do that? paint stripper solution?) and just painting the amber turn signals black, leaving the red its orignial color
taseal

well dude, buy testors, spray it, and if it come sout like shit, just use a paint stripper solution to get it off
