Ooops, wrong Peake code, read the manual!

So a few threads back I was trying to fix a Peake Code F6 on a '98 328i.

Turns out, after reading the fine print, it is an FB (or Fb as stated in the manual). It was suggested that it may be the gas cap but I've tried filling up, reseating and checked the gasket; I still get FB after awhile.

Does anyone know another cause and the fix for an FB code?

could be the pump or sensor gasket causing a leak ?, also the return pipe may be shot ?

Could you provide a little more info? Where is the sensor gasket and what return pipe? Are there any write ups with specific details?
