I just noticed that when the ac is not on(snowflake button) and I press just the recycle air button, COLD air comes out of the vents. It seems to be colder than when I press the AC button. I dont notice much of a difference, if any, when I hit the snowflake button after the recycle button. Either way, both buttons make cold air come out... I thought the recycle button was just suppose to circulate the air?
Anyone else notice this?
according to the owners manual, when you hit the recycle button, it automatically induces the air conditioning, I guess to somehow clean the air a little bit. The manual refers to outside odors, as a reason to use the recycle button. I guess if you are driving by some kind of refinery or air polluted area.

with the hood open and the engine running, have someone hit the recycle button. you ought to be able to hear the AC clutch engaging or not. Also, you should be able to notice the drop in idle speed when the compressor engages.

Yea, I notice the engine surge a little when I hit the recycle button. Cold air comes out, but the AC button is off. Im pretty sure it automatically turns on the AC. Just something I noticed.
