Question from a newbie

Hello to everyone. Newbie here so I was hoping I could get a little help. It would be greatly appreciated.

I was wondering what would be the best way to find out when I could get a reserve spot/get on the list for a new car that's going into production. For example: I heard that someone who just got called up by BMW because he had a spot for the M6.

Again, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Have you called your local dealership? I'd think that they'd be willing to help. Some dealerships (I think depending on marque and individual dealership) want deposits for sitting on the waiting list from what I've gathered.

I'd start by calling the local dealership, and if they won't help you, let them know you're going to call others until you find one who does. I'm sure there must be one who'd be happy to secure your business.

Hopefully someone else can shed some light on this as I'm just going by hearsay (or whatever you'd call second and third hand knowledge on the 'Net :) )
