Hey, I have a 97 e39 auto. I get this clicking and creaking noise that seems to come from my front brakes when ever I sit in traffic too much. It weird because it also happens when when the car starts to move as if it was sway bar bushings or something. It only happens after I've sat in traffice a little and got the front end nice and hot from the other cars around me. I think that its something with the front brakes though, as I feel it only in my brake pedal. Funny thing is though, if I let the car sit and cool for like 20 min, the noise vanishes until another traffic jam. (I know I know, stay away from the traffic LOL) Any ideas? Need to change brakes?

ABS problem? Just a guess. A code scan could rule it out.

no, its not abs..the sound is like a click/pop when lightly tapping on the brakes while rolling or if the ground is uneven. and remember, this is only when the car has sat in stop and go traffic for a while.
