oil gear chec.

I have an automatic gear BMW car 1994 year 525 model.
How can I check the oil level of the gear-box in my car.

The check has to be done via the fill plug on the side of the transmission. I don't have any docs with me, but from memory... The car must be in the air and level, the transmission housing must be between 30-50C, each gear must have been engaged after lifting the car, and the engine must be running with the transmission in park and the A/C on. A small amount of fluid should come out of the fill plug if the level is correct.
