Window Regulator

I am going to try to change my window regulator.

My 97 528i I think has airbags in the doors. What are the steps to follow to protect the integrity of the air bag and actually of my face too?

Is it as simple as just disconnecting the battery and then removing the door panel and unplugging stuff?
