Guys,
I rode in my friends e39 535d in the UK with Hartge suspension kit and the car was freakin tight. We did the whole top gear thing thru some English country side thru dips and bumps and corners on narrow roads....and I could not believe a e39 could handle that well. Its was sooo tossable and yet, comfortable! It felt as good if not better than a stock M5. I dont believe there was much of a drop at all...looks about 0.5in lower than stock with the M32 18 M parallels.
Now I have the itch to do the suspension upgrade on my car. Can anyone recommend a good spring and strut set that will allow me to keep to near stock ride comfort, yet perform like the Hartge kit? Bilsteins Sports + Eibach, or Sachs, or Koni's with Eibach? What about the Bilstein PSS9 coilover....though that is quite a costly mod.
