Darn. I was this close to owning this car. :confused :help

I waited until the last 30 seconds and tried to put my bid in of $21,106 but it asked me to enter a credit card and verify all this info. And by the time I check the auction was over. Lucky guy won it at $20,600. I never heard of this thing? Supposedly if you bid over $15,000 they need to verify something?

Yah i was gonna try one of those? but I think they it still wouldn't have taken the bid because its over 15k. My timing was fine if not for that stupid validation that I had not know or accounted for. I guess I'll just have to keep searching autotrader and ebay until i find another good deal. this seemed like a pretty good find and price. One owner, low miles, 6spd m5 kit and all the bells/whistles.

I have not check out the details of it, but wouldn't you have to give out your access to your ebay account in order for this service to work?

yah you do. But there was this validation check that ebay requires if you post a bid over 15K. So even if i used one of those things I wouldn't have know to validate w/ a credit card.

Yea... ebay is stupid. You probably already have a paypal account right? Well for some reason big brother at ebay needs to get your credit card number (and charge it... :shifty) before they will let you bid over 15K. The only + is you only have to do it once. Really sorry to hear that you lost the car... oh well, try again. :(
