You'll see him catch up to the car he's chasing. Then all of a sudden the car he's chasin mashes the gas and the cop gets worked like bald tire in the rain scrambling for traction.

I showed him a pic of the Lotus Omega....he was amazed, its not a pretty car IMO, reminds me of a VW Jetta or an older honda or something.....

Yea, that's one of my favorite movies from that site. The one with the M5 being chased by a Volvo cop is nice too. It's one of the nicest M5's I've seen. Looks lowered too IMO.
*Only thing is for the M5 vid, you have to find the clip that hasn't been sped up to see the true film. You can tell by the digital time readout on the corner of the screen.*

Ive seen that before, that is so nice, you can see the part where he downshifts the back of the car drops and it just takes off, that thing is fast. How nice would that be to pull away from a cop like that?

How many of you would "run" if you had a fast car (911 Turbo, Viper etc.) keeping in mind that you dont have license plates as the car is new:)

Ok... well, I've been a bad boy. I think I've run from the cops 1 or 2 times... but that's only because the cop was heading in the opposite direction with a high curbed median in between us. It wasn't a high speed get away. It was more of a OH CRAP... first right, first left, first right, first left, park in somebody's driveway or circle around and put on my good guy glasses pretending I was lost in some neighborhood and it wasn't me speeding. There was no high speeds involved... after all. It was after all tight corners.

If you even thinnk about running, they dispatch the helicopters here. If you ask me... I think they dispact the helicopter before the chase even start... just to make you think you might get away... then BAM! ***SPOTLIGHT*** You done.

Ive run from cops twice... Once on my R1 (yamaha motorcycle).. I failed to stop completely at a red light before turning right towards a freeway onramp... After i had turned and was proceeding towards the onramp a squad car rounded the corner and turned on his lights, i took one look in my mirrors, dropped it into second and gave it full throttle, by the the time i got half way down the onramp i was almost at 12 grand in third and my frontwheel was about a foot off the ground. Thats about 115mph? i think? Anyways the cop was trying to give chase but really wasnt up to the task... I merged onto the freeway, took it to redline all the way up to fifth and got off on the second exit that came up... After getting off the exit i just went and doubled back to where i was going on back streets. I didnt even see the cop after the point where i saw him coming up with his lights on.

The second time i wasnt so lucky... I was driving one of my dads cars on a rally in az... A friend and i were racing around thru the mountains and came down to a straight and were cruising at about 110 me behind him when i saw a white speck off in the distance... Well that white speck quickly turned into a patrol car, and by the time it was in radar distance of us we were still going at least 100 and he had his lights on. My friend being the good citizen he is, pulled over as the cop started to come beside us, I on the other hand dropped it into third and romped it. So long cop. There were parts when i was running from this guy when i looked down and i was doing close to 170 before slowing for curves. Not that i recommend anyone doing anything as stupid as running from police, or driving 170+ on public roads, there IS NOTHING as exciting as trying to ditch the police!! lol Anyways after about ten miles, I realized that we were on a car rally partially sponsored by the AZ DPS (complete with escorts) so running from this DPS guys probably wasnt the best idea....So, i decided to pull over. No less than 4 mins later ( i timed it on my watch) the officer screeches up behind me parks, it jumps out, pistol drawn and orders me to throw the keys outside the vehicle... I complied managed to get the guy calmed down... He said he clocked 6 miles at over 120 mph and he still could not gain visual contact of me... haha I think he was more pissed that i handed him his ass than me speeding... Anyways unfortunately, i got a ticket for going 135.. but i have a good lawyer..;)

I have been chased on my ZX-10 a few times. Boy, was I lucky!! This one time, there were a few of us. We were riding around like nuts and a cop saw us. He started chasing us and some of us pulled over. My friend takes off!! The cop let us off and was trying to find my friend. He found his bike parked and my friend was hiding behind a stone wall. The cop slashed his tires and kicked his bike over!! At least the cop never pressed charges. My friend was pissed, but he didn't have to go to jail.

My M has been known to evade a few cops in its day. One time we were heading up to SF from LA, and we drove by a cop in the mountains just North of LA. Right as we passed him, the lights come on, but since there was traffic, it took him a while to get on. We booked, took hte first exit, and pretended to get gas. The cop took the same offramp, but turned the other way. No ticket for us. Another time was as the night races back up in Portland. We had just been flushed out of a usual racing spot, and got on the highway, when a 300zx TT pulled up by us and said the cops were chasing. Me and the 300 downshifted and took off. We finally got far enough away so we didn't have to worry. Later I talked to my friend, and he said everyone else got caught. There were 5 cops chasing us in a freakin V formation. Too bad they couldn't catch up to the M. About 10 people pulled over, except for the M and the Z. Then some other random incidents where we would see a cop pull a u turn or turn on the lights, and we simply ran. Ahh the memories

Bikes are the ultimate cop ditching weapons.... That sucks about your friends bike, too bad he didnt catch the cop on 'candid camera' ;)
