525 to 530 (e34)

[BMW 5 SERIES]

I have a question for you guys
Should I trade my 525 model 93 with a 530 also model 93?
Is the power difference noticeable between those two cars?
Which one you think is more realiable ?
The cars have both around 65.000 miles and all service records

I am the proud owner of a 530i. The question you need to answer is..."is power more important then reliability"...once you answer that then you can assess whether or not you want the 530. Of course look out for the condition of the vehicle...

The 530i will have a lot more power since it does have that small block V8 in it. Its no 540 but she will still haul some serious ass. The 525 is hands down more reliable engine wise, other parts of the car are the same.

In my opinion get it if its in the same or better shape then your current 525. Routine maintenance and running cost will be a smudge more but worth it.

Did you test drive the 530i? Was it noticeably more powerful?

I love my 530i and it has about 120k on it. I'd say if i were you, get the 530i, maybe even the 540i ;)

I have not had problems with reliability on the 530. Get a 540 though probably simliar price.
