My E39 540 is blowing fuse #9 in the glove box and turning the ac controller module off. Thus my ac system is going down. It blew the first time on the way to the university. When I got there, I replaced the fuse and turned the car back on. The climate control came back up and everything seemed to be fine. I then went to teach. When I came back out, the fuse was blow again. I did not have the AC on when it blew. I was only using the blower. Any ideas were to start? I was going to pull the module itself and disconnect the power to it. After that put another fuse in #9 and see if it blows.

If it doesn't, where do I go w/ regards to the module itself?

thank you for the help

Michael

I have pulled the module and removed the board. Nothing is burnt on the board. All the resistors are there with no discoloring. I am going to pick up some fuses on my way to the university tonight

Did you notice vectorpi post was 13 years ago and an E34? This is the E39 forum, not the E34 forum.
Is your F9 fuse blowing or is it a different fuse? You do have an E39, right?
