I'm a worthless data point because I'm in a totally different demographic, but I pay $267/6 months for liability only. I'm 26/male/married/3 cars + bike. USAA is my carrier. My M3 is a '99.

ive heard great things about USAA. but currently my family uses Westfield Insurance group which is through my uncle who is an insurance rep, and anytime my mother has compared with ANY company they are way cheaper. from what i see, progressive, with their almost BEST insurance is 3k a year. and last time my saab i owned was like 2500 a year, and ended up only being like 850 a year... so yea. im thinkin M3 might be only 1k a year, not HORRIBLE at all...

Yeah, I'm not really sure why, but M3 insurance seems to be pretty cheap. I used to own a 2004 M3, and even in 2004, it was only $900/6 months for FULL coverage. And I lived in the DC area, wasn't married, and was <25 then, so the rates were even higher than they would be for me now in MD.

Hi. I'm 28 years old, married, live in the SF Bay Area, been driving since 16, no accidents/tickets, and have a total of 3 vehicles ('97 M3, '01 Xterra, '99 YZF600R) and house insurance by State Farm with FULL coverage:
$250k/$500k liability
$250k/$500k uninsured/underinsured
$500 deductible comprehensive and collision
I'm paying about $1000 for the year for the M3. Yeah, my coverage is pretty high, but with everyone being so lawsuit-happy these days, I'd rather go this route. When I initially spoke with my agent about decent coverage for the M, it was around $760 for the year.
YMMV.

I'm 28 in chicagoland area and pay $1150/year for full coverage on my 98M3/4.
I have westfield just like you do. I am also 19 with zero accidents/tickets. I also have a 95 like you are looking for. I pay 2100 a year for insurance. My parents cover 600 a year while I am in college so that makes my payments $750 every six months. Hope that helps.
