About two years ago my climate control unit died, and the fix from Macadmizer (http://www.macadamizer.com/bmwfix.html) worked beautifully.
Well, the unit display is still on, however, the fans no longer work - no matter what the fan speed is set at. They do come on intermittently.
Any ideas? I did a search, but only came up with the fix above. Could it need replacing again, even though the display is still on?

It's the same problem, do the fix again.

I did the fix again this evening. But, it didn't work. The display works, just like before, but the fans still won't come on, no matter what speed they are set at.

This happened to me, and the problem was an A/C blower motor.

So, after replacing the final stage unit, doing the cc fix again, and trying a different cc unit, that only leaves the blower motor :mad >$600 fix at a reputable local shop.
FWIW, the pictures in the Bentley manual are kind of outdated. E36s with a digital climate control unit will only have final stage unit that looks completely different than the blower resistor that is pictured in the bentley manual.
