there's nothing wrong with some stupid questions from a newer owner, I'm only looking for opinions from people... if you don't like it, then don't post on the threads...
...there's nothing wrong with "stupid questions" from a slightly immature 17yr old who just bought his own e30 with his own money and doesn't really know what to do with it...
...now... is that stupid? I don't think so...

If you want to know what to do with your money, here goes.
1-get rid of those steelies and buy some basketweaves
2-throw the le-bra in the le-garbage
3-get a new lip spoiler cause yours is gone
4-take your suspension back to stock e.g. replace all bushings, shocks, etc.
5-make the engine reliable (new ignition, hoses, all fluids changed, etc.)
6-after completing steps 1-5, then THINK and PLAN a performance setup.

ok here it goes...
1- working on it... i just don't have $125 to buy them...
2- it's gone... i tossed it a week ago
3- trying to find one for a decent cost... you know what I mean? my income is limited (i'm 17 as i said before)
4- done and done, previous owner did it 8mths ago, i have the receipt
5- also done, just need windshield washer fluid
6- that's what I'm stuck on..i'm thinking a chip, intake, suspension, and some skirts, is spoiler, and lip...
what do you think?

Sweet. I know what you mean with the limited income (18 yr old college student going to Cal Poly) so needless to say there are moths flying out of my wallet. As for performance, the M42 is not exactly the best thing to sink alot of money into. You cant really get much power without major stuff like turbos or extreme engine work. I would say buy a really sweet performance suspension, short shifter, and get on those wheels. As for the engine, im not too sure as i'm an m20 person. From what i hear, a CAI is a waste (because the stock setup is essentially a CAI). Check and see what rear end you have. If you dont have a 4.10 LSD, you might want to get one of those to make driving a little more spirited.

yea that's one thing i did put in was a lsd... and 4.10 so i'm good there... ssk would help too.. my engine has plenty of power for me, if i put an intake and chip in.. that'll bump my hp enough to feel it... but not so much that i'm gonna get caught excessivley speeding lol.... but anyway...
you go to cal poly? pomona? or?
plus i got a deal on this car... i got it for $1500, it's worth about $2500-$3k... so i'm not complaining haha...
you wouldn't happen to know of a place or someone where I can get a front valence for low $$? would you? thx

im at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo....the REAL Cal Poly. haha. As for the lip spoiler, i have no idea. I know a few junkyards at home, but home is 2500 miles away so i cant really help you there. I think that bavarian auto recycling is in CA somewhere. http://www.bmrparts.com/.

I have a kidney grill for sale for $15 + shipping if you want a spare set to black out... The hardest part of blacking them out properly is banishing every last bit of chrome off of them so the paint actually sticks. Just roughing the chrome up is better than spraying untouched chrome, but not by much.

I find it ironic that people put on those bra's so that the front of their car remains mint, so for the life of the car, it has an ugly ass black bra on it and cant see the front of the car anyways lol

I vote no on blacking out the double kidney. I think it makes an E30 look like a Nissan Sentra.
You'll have a hard time finding a used lip spoiler. So many people loose them to curb stops. I've mail ordered them from Pacific BMW for a pretty good price.
A CAI is a waste on an E30 from a performance perspective. I race an E30 and we've found the best setup is a drop-in K&N filter in the original air box. We learned this from Steve Dinan himself.
Have fun with your new ride. I could drive a new E46 M3 if I wanted, but I choose to own 4 E30s instead. Great cars. :)
If you plan on doing any work on the car yourself, get the Bentley Manual for the E30.

here is my old e30 that now belongs to my sister :shifty. it definately does not look like that anymore. the plates were stolen, i took the lip off so she wouldn't scrape it up (it still has suspension installed), and the paint needs some detailing.
