After the 20 dies, i was wondering, how much would an s50 swap cost total, with labor and everything? s52 is a lot more money bc of obdII right?

dave, i know you're a member on r3v. Just go to that super long ass thread and start reading.
I'm over 7k (not counting the motor-s52), Treehouse did all the work and I am not dissapointed at all. 0.02, money well spent.

7k is kinda hight but not crazzy, it can be done for 5-6000.00.
alot depends on where you goto get work done and how much you pay for the motor.

Call the folks at MSR and work something out with them: 723-791-2331, they can get you the motor and all the parts for the swap and then install it.

*sigh* Don't tell me that even E30 guys are "checkbook modifiers".... :rolleyes
Nope, but I may have a shop do some wiring and the exhaust and such.

Do they have a website?
They have one but all it says is their adress/number/email adress http://www.motorsportrecycling.com/
I have my e30 there right now- it's about to get diagnosed/evaluated and as long as everything is straight, it's getting new suspension and an m50. I'm good friends with someone that's been a repeat customer and there are loads of people on this forum who'll give them great references. I suppose you can email them or whatever, but seeing as they're busy guys I would just call them and talk about it, if anything say you heard about them on the forums or tell them Dmitry recommended you.

Eh, I'm not a mechanic nor do I have a garage to do a motor swap in...I plan on getting a project car but I need this car to be fixed sometime soon, not just be some toy taking up space in the driveway.

Labor was only 2500, one of my headers was bent and they couldn't get it to line up, even after trying to straighten it, so they found one for me, I also needed some obd I parts that I was missing. They chipped it, sorced the exhaust, I had them get the clutch, ssk, and put in full urethane bushings and solid rear bushings.
Sorry I should have been more clear.:blush2

Yeah 2500 for labor sounds a lot more reasonable.
Having a known shop do the work as been a godsend, Jon, Rob and the other guys there are all cool and give straight answers.
