Ok,
So, I have read up on the differences between these two... lsd, stiffer suspension, etc, but is there that much of a performance difference as to hold out for an is over an i? Or should i go for an clean one of either model.
Thanks

if anything i say get an i and with the extra you wouldsave over buying a iS you can spend on new and better parts (instead of spending extra for a "sport suspension" spend the money saved on H&r and billies)

Ya, that is what i figured, but what about the lsd? What comes in the i?

umm i dont know bout LSD coming in an i i think they all came with open diffs....you can buy a specific LSD that you would think fits yur "needs" best instead of gettin an iS and being stuck with that certain ratio

get whatever is cleaner. The main differences are the LSD and the sport seats. both of which can be swapped into an "I".

Ok. But stock on stock how much of an edge does the "is" have? Soon to be a broke college kid, I am ont sure how much I will be modding my e30 right away. lol thanks again

They both have the exact same stats. 0-60, 1/4 mile...
exactly the same.

btw erik325i ...yur car a niicceeee....anyways just do what erik said, get whatevers the cleanest bc in the longrun your gonna have to worry about and paying for those little thing getting messed up rather than spending the money on mods

The i feels a little softer than the is...they both share the same motor so power for power they are identical.

When driving a stock i, it just doesn't feel as sporty as the 325is. The LSD makes things fun too but ultimately if you're intending to modify, whatever is cleanest.
