Right now i have 17" Moda R6's all the way around on my 97 M3.
Tire sizes right now on the Modas = 215/45 ZR17 all the way around.
I want to put 225/45 W17s Continentals on the front and 245/40 ZR17s on the back would this be allright? All help is really appreciated. Thanks. Peace. :help

the set up that you want to run comes stock on the 96-99 m3s.

DRYVUR,
I'm thinking about the R6's, could you post pics please? Thanks!
215's on an M3!?? In my humble opinion that is a bit narrow. Depending on the width of your new rims and the offset, you should be running anywhere between a 225 and a 245 or both like in the stock staggered config that you mention. Are you getting the ContiContact 2s??? I really would like to know how that tire performs on an E36.

Dryvur,
No one can answer your question unless we know how wide the wheels are. Stock on a 95 M3 is 7.5, stock on 96 and up is 7.5 front, 8.5 rear.
215's are just plain wrong on that car. Your performance will suffer, and your spedo will be off.

Im not a physics major...but your speedo will only change if the profile/height is changed! Width doesnt change that.
But 215's are WAY TOO SKINNY. My 99 ford focus has 215
