I really like the ASA AR1 but how is the reputation and durability of modbargains and wheelmax? All 3 sets of wheels look very similar.

http://www.modbargains.com/zoom_img/velocity008_1113639723.jpg CSL reps $699 for 4 and weighs 24lbs

http://www.modbargains.com/product.asp?pf_id=bmw%2De46%2Dwheels005

http://www.wheelmax.com/_images/products/az10_z.jpg AZA Z10 $696 for 4 and 24 lbs (according to e46fanatics post)

http://www.wheelmax.com/product.asp?ProdId=10098

http://www.tirerack.com/images/wheels/asa/swap/asa_ar1_ci3_l.jpg $916 for 4 at tirerack and 24lbs

They all look the same to me.. Do you guys know what are the major performance differences between the 3? I've just never heard of AZA or the other two websites before.

I've updated with price and weight

From a performance standpoint, you may want to try to find out which is lightest. Lighter is better from a few performance standpoints(or at least 2) Rotating mass(acceleration) and unsprung weight(handling)

I've never seen the wheelmax before. I like it!

I'd either go with TireRack or Modbargains as they're supporting vendors. I'm sure Jim and Don will help you with all your needs.

We have not had a single complaint about the quality of CSL wheels and having them hold up to harsh road conditions. Right now they are trying to make the csl wheels even lighter and stronger. We should be expecting to get the next shipment of CSL wheels early this month, so reserve your set before they're gone as we only have a few left.

Don,

does this 'lighter and stronger' statement apply to the new shipment?

thanks,
