i have a set of ACS Type III 2 piece. the lip and all are, well, wacked. 3 out of the 4 at least. instead of shipping them out and have someone else do them, i'm thinking about doing it myself as a summer project. i'll separate them myself (since they are 2 piece) and sand them down, buff them, coat them, etc etc...

anyone know the exact procedure and how it's done? here's some pics of what i'm talking about:

Wow what a coincidence. I saw your thread title and thought I'd check it out since my Type IIIs (1 piece) are in need of a refinish.. and saw that yours are Type IIIs as well. Can't help here though, I'm here to learn too. Those are some nice wheels ;)

Oh and I was thinking of getting mine powdercoated, but just haven't gone to get a quote. Painting them myself is an option though.

when i brought these rims to this place in Jersey, they wanted $230 a pop since they thought it was the 1 piece and said it's impossible to fix... wtf???

yeah, i like them. got them at a steal too.
