Basic rule is that the lower the offset number the more it will stick out to the inner fenders.
For example a ~13mm offset will move the wheel to the fender and a ~38mm offset will move the wheel to the inner strut housing.

Here is a link that makes it very easy to understand offset and to calculate it as well.

ok
so basically et43 will be closer to the coilover
and et35 will be a little closer to the wheel well

i've been thinking of this and it makes me confused

here is my car the rims are et 40ish and it rubs a bit

this car has ch's which i believe are et35
how does this car go so low if the offset is more aggressive than mine? is it camber adjustment or something?

He appears to have body work done. Probably modified liners to. Also cosider he might not drive the car. GH

There's a lot that goes into how a wheel fits onto a car, more than just offsets, especially when you are no longer talking about stock set ups.

You can try to add some camber if you are just rubbing slightly, or try to run a slightly narrower tire, which the red car may be doing.

Also, it depends on how stiff your suspension set up is. Sometimes just having a quarter inch more clearance can solve everything.

You also can't tell how much his fenders are rolled in that picture, so that may be an option for you.

this is why i ask, i love these new breyton wheels but they are et30
no way they will fit?

Can't tell from just offset, and do you mean all around or just in the rear?

You can get anything to fit, it's just what you are willing to do to get it to fit.

all around

not necessarily true w/o heavy modding
