CarFax - Spy is Watching so Beware!

Apparently Carfax does not like it when paid subscribers do favors for others in looking up a vehicle. They obviously have a spy on these forums because my unlimited-views-for-a-month account was promptly terminated because it appeared I'd looked up several VINs for people on this forum. Don't know how they matched my Carfax account to my posts on this forum, but that is another story.

So just a FYI.

if you want a free carfax, you should post your email address and delete the VIN form your post, once you receive your request. IMO

They have spy's on all the popluar auto web forums just looking for people handing out free CarFax's. Just keep it to PM's and you should be okay. They are having major trouble with it over on one of the Honda / Acura boards.

actualy I don't realy think it's unlimited. once you reach about 20 checks, they ask you whether you're a dealer or something. at least that's how it used to be.

anyway, it's f@cked up, since the service is paid for for a month. let's keep it via pm's
