Hey guys,
There comes a point in one man's life when he starts to realize that it is not realistic to spend every last penny on his car. Where he can no longer put off buying food, becuase that next performance part is just a few meals away, where he avoids serious relationships becuase it indefinitely takes away from his "track time" fund. Good lord, I am that man. I have decided that the long journey may be coming to its end, but alas only to be replaced with either a 5 or 7 series. So, to avoid crashing my car on purpose and commiting insurance fraud, its for sale!
This is a 1997 BMW 328is, no sports package, with ASC (removed, but I can give you the parts), heated, electric seats, Dove grey interior, Sony CD changer just rolled 126k miles. The car handles beautifully and as you can imagine, it moooooves. I have not dyno tested it, but according to Eurosports dyno sheets, it should be putting down right around 220 WHP. I have outrun an M3 or two on some back roads and put my fair share of puzzled faces on cars that were surprised to see me pull away. I also must say that even though it is headed the in "track car" direction, it has never actually seen a race track other than the one autocross where I lost my radiator neck on the second run.
I have put countless dollars, and COUNTLESS hours into this car, sacrificing much of the better part of my life to ensure that is nothing short of a blast to drive. I have always been up to date on maintenence and take the greatest caer of it that I know how to. I have a folder PACKED with receipts, that is well over 6 or 7k$ in performance parts and maintenence, not counting the BBS wheels. The car is currrently inspected in Pa until June, it may need some wrench time to get it to pass becuase of the exhaust, but I have no doubt that it can be accomplished. My plans for this car were in the track car direction, so it may be best for someone that is looking for a cheaper way to accomplish this. It does have a fairly stiff suspension on it that may not be ideal for some, and a very, very sick sounding side exhaust. (Note*, the link in my sig is before I added a cat and muffler). I guess I will put down the modifications that I can remember on it now...
The exterior is in fairly good shape, it has a ding or two, but nothing of concern by any means, it has never been in any accidents or anything of that nature.
Some history about the car...
I have owned the car for the past 2 years and I absolutely love it. I still smile when I see it, god damnit it is sweet. I have been continually ever last cent into as stated above and its been a lot of fun. In the summer of 2005 I over-revved the engine and took that opportunity to do a lot of work to the car. I had some excellent machine work done to the head, replaced all of the valves, valve springs, replaced the clutch, and ALL of the fluids. The car has never really had any problems other than that, although one time on an autocross the radiator neck blew out about 9 seconds into the run, god that was such a mess on the course. The air condition has been removed, as well as the rear right passenger floor carpet to ensure that there were no fires or anything of that nature from the exhaust. I also have removed the center console free of the armrest and cupholders so that I could mount a fire extuingisher there. (shit happens, not to me though, dont worry) Sorry if you were there that day and I held you up. Here is a list of the recent maintenence that I can remember off the top of my head...

And now for the price....
I do realize the side exhaust will take a buck or two away from the KBB value, and that I shouldn hope to get all of my money back from modifications. I am asking 10 grand even for it. It is a VERY good foundation to a track car and I have dumped in quite a bit of money on top of the $12,000 that I originally paid for it. I can provide for pictures upon request and would be happy to answer any questions.
