Multi-Firing System

Does anyone know what cars are suited for or can handle a multi-firing system out of the exhaust. Perhaps I am using the wrong term. But I have seen this in more fictional terms, so I don't even know if it exists. I have seen it on Initial D, World Rally Championship (video game for PS2), and on real life video for an RX-7.

It is possible... but it's mostly beneficial in cars with turbos. With the system, the car misfires causing extra heat to be thrown at the turbo to keep it spooled... of course by feeding your turbo pure fuel and fire, you are essentially reducing it's lifespan to say 5000 miles. Getting it to work on a BMW would be impossible because the ECU detects a misfire condition and shuts down the cylinder until a specific time elapses or the computer is reset.
