So I broke down and wrote an email to Billy Boat from BB Triflow exhausts.
I ordered his dual exhaust, and have been very disappointed all around with it.

1) The tips are smaller than stock, and welded together.. Odd.
2) Fitment was off, and melted my bumper.
3)It was supposed to be loud and aggressive, meanwhile it has a built in resonator aside from the mufflers, that kill the sound! It's been over a month, and it makes tons of bass, but no real rasp, as advertised.

Bottom line is, I don't want it anymore. My friends ask me why my "aftermarket" tips are smaller than the stock ones! That kills me!

My solution may be to have a welder remove the resonators, and add new tips. It may cost as much as a new system!

Let's see what Billy has to say, if anything at all.

The way this thing is looking, it won't last half as long as my old ES Tuning exhaust. That thing made it through 2 cars, and 5 years of beatings!!! And still going strong.

Mine is nothing like that. It's years old of course, but nothing like that. I can't speak for the sound mine makes, people tell me it's ok when heard by them.

billy boat is a stand up guy. i know cary agajanian, co owner of his team, and i've had the chance to meet billy. great guy, he knows a lot about fabrication, and he's a pretty damn good driver (he just needs some competent equipment behind him to produce results). i have faith that he will rectify your problem, just be honest with him.

I don't know what kind of tips you got from B&B. But I am very happy with my Triflow. Specially after had the tip reducer installed. I also had very good experience dealing with B&B driectly. Here is a previous thread on this topic:

Billy's exhaust is called Tri-Flo. Maybe the "TriFlow" you have is from a knock off company.
:dunno

B&B is local, and I've heard a few strange things about his products. For one thing RM Racing is also local (they do NSXs, S2000s, 360s, and C5s) and their headers and exhausts are made by B&B specifically for them. Many people experience problems with their welds. In one case in an NSX, inferior welds led to the melting of half the engine compartment. I'm not saying that they're neccesarily a bad company, but that they need a little more quality control.
I'm going to be going with a SS exhaust over Triflo because I don't want all the noise and I want bigger tips! :evil2
