I could swear the badge said GS450, but I don't see that model anywhere, it must have been a GS430.

Anyway, I was headed home after getting some take-out and the guy in the Lexus guns it at me at a stop light (we were both behind people so we couldn't do anything there.) At the next light there were still cars in the way so I had to pull up behind him, he took off fast and kinda left me (I wasn't real sure if he was gonna play.) So we go on down the road looking for a decent place to run them; I went a few miles out of my way but we finally found a good open stretch of road to open them up. From about a 50 roll I wait for him to hit it (no honks or anything); I hear his engine rev and I drop it into 2nd, chirp the tires and pull a quick 2-3 cars by the top of 3rd. From there he seemed to stick right around there to about 120 when I shut it down; it was a 45 limit street and wasn't real smooth so I busy driving not checking him out, but once I shut down he passed me pretty quickly.

I took the next right turn to head back toward home, he waved and I gave him a thumbs-up. His car was pretty damn quick and gave me a much better race than I thought it would.

After I got home I found my corn on the cob under the passenger seat :laugh

Good kill! Only thing is, I would've expected you to take him more easily. Maybe he was modded? The GS430/400 is a good matchup for E36 M3s, but even the E36's should be able to take those GS's every time.

He was probably modded; his wheels weren't stock, had dark tint and he picked the fight. I was supprised how well he kept up because I didn't think they were that fast.

Nice kill! My GS400 was pretty fast until I dumped it on 20s, then it turned balls slow. They pull very hard from a roll.

Yeah, with a good driver the GS430 can run low 14's... Nice Kill!

Which shouldn't be a problem at all for an E46 M3 coupe. Good competition for an E36 M3 coupe, though. The driver's gotta be on the ball for that run.

Nah, I drove Herman's at the track, even the E36 M3 will kill that thing. It's a nice, midsize, luxury car, with a tad of sportiness, but no competition for an E36 M3. Heck, I've driven E46 330i's, and I still think a 330 could take it...

If they're really that slow then this one was definately not stock, it was fast.

0-60 in the high 5's, 1/4 mile in the low to mid 14's....

I've raced a 400/430 before. Rt 210 in Maryland. From a stop up till about 130+. This was after I got my mods and I wanted to see how it ran with them (this was right after coming from Curry's). I put bus lengths on him.

How heavy are those things?

Easily close to 2 tons, at least....

3715 lbs. Not quite two tons, but still fairly heavy. :)

If that's the curbweight, slap those heavy aftermarket rims on there, a Nav system, heated seats, etc, and a 180-200 lb male in there, it's 2 tons.... ;)
