Whats everyones thoughts on the Z4? Honestly I like the body styling and if they release an M Coupe or a M Roadster version of it ill buy it in a second. Im even considering buying the standard Z4. Its got a roll bar over the head rests so its fairly safe for racing no? Lightweight, big engine for size etc. Those are just the reasons I like it. But im curious to everyone elses opnion.

Someone should photoshop an MZ4. Wouldn't that be cool? Anyway, I still can say I like the design 100%. But, there are subtle lines and other design cues that endear the car to me more and more each day.

Still, I feel like the older woman on a news team getting bumped out for the hotter young anchorwoman. :D

lol. Dont get me wrong I love hte Z3 but it was too retro for my taste. That and the non M version just had too small of an engine. But id take an M roadster Z3 any day. But I wonder what they would do to the M Z4 roadster to make it different. Its line are really aggresive as is IMO and the engines fairly fast isnt it? Make it V8.....and turbocharged!...

Personally, I like it. I've seen it in person, and the lines are absolutely beautiful. The best part is the Z that cuts from the a-pillar to the bottom. The powers that be say no coupe b/c the Z3 coupe didn't sell very well. Only bad thing is it gained 200 lbs. in the process, but it also picked up the e46's rear suspension. And yes, there are roll bars above the seats.

I like it. Except for those wheels. But i think my next BMW will be a Z4 or MZ roadster. Or whatever they designate the M verison if they make one.

Why is it all the threads i start get towed? I mean am I really posting them in the wrong forum every single time?

Here is the deal, if you mention BMW pretty much anywhere in the title and it is in Off Topic it is in the wrong section. That is basically how it works.

I could rice out the Z4, or I could make it look nice...:evil2

...Decisions... Decisions...

I think it loosk alright. The thing I don't like about it is the back looking so much like the S2000.

Its alright, but I think a bit too expensive.

the base 2.5i starts at $33,000, and the 3.0i starts at like $41,000

I love it (and I own a Z3). I saw one in person in the factory at Z3 homecoming. I'll keep my Z3, but it is very nice! I think they had to move it upscale (and price scale) as compared to the Z3, as I'll bet they have a droptop based on the upcoming 1 series, probably named the Z2.

I sure hope it looks better in person than it does in the pictures. I'm not impressed, but I'm still keeping an open mind. Where I live, I wouldn't risk having a convertible with a soft top so my wife may get an SLK or Peugeot 307CC.

The Z3 looks like a timeless classic in comparison. The Z4 is overly trendy ... and what's with all those excessive character lines and ridiculous "flame surfaces"? It'll be dated in 3 years, like Darth Vader's helmet.

Oh well... I guess it's got a better chassis. Too bad about the skin. How about this?

I dont agree I think its shape will grow on you. And Darth Vaders helmet is still badass 30 years after he first wore it. Its agresive and it looks like it. It looks like a monster IMO. Very cool. Im still gonna defend it heh.

The pics of it have grown on me over time, but I'm gonna reserve final judgement until I see it in person and drive one...

Until I drive one I wont give my opinion either. As for a coupe, has anyone heard of the Z5?? That is supposed to be the replacement. Slated for a few years away.

I just saw video of it today on CNBC. They were interviewing a guy from BMWNA about sales dropping and the launch today of the Z4. The front looks really rounded and heavy, but it doesn't look that bad from the front angle, but the side front and rear front angles looked like crap, and the rear had the S2000 look. I'm still undecided, but I still wanna kick Bangles azz

imho......doesn't do it for me. The lines just don't seem to make a quality statement. At first look you (I) might say, "cool" but that turned to "next..." real fast.
