LOL, thanks.
I'm wondering if it'll drive like a truck/suv, even though it's "smaller"

Headlights are from upcoming FJ Cruiser.
But boy, they hit that with the fugly stick. Twice. The same company that brought out the Concorde, the Intrepid, etc. brought out this? and the Caliper? That is really sad.
Anyway, it's still a Chrysler at heart, so I put my money on the Scion's. The Scion's will at least last to 100,000 miles.

Didn't DCX and BMW go in partnership to build this/mini motor?

The design of the "Pentagon" MINI motor was created by Chrysler engineers in the late (pre-Diamler) 90's. BMW carefully "guided" Chrysler's design direction at every turn in order to meet the MINI space and performance requirements. The two companies partnered with interests in Brasil to produce the motor for their joint use. The new company was named Tritec.
It was planned that both BMW and Chrysler would make use of this motor in their model lines, with each requiring nearly the same number of units. In the end, it was BMW that used the lion's share of the motors for the MINI. Chrysler restricted its use of the Pentagon to some of its non-US PT Cruiser and Neon models only. Could this have come about as a change in direction when Diamler joined the party?
I find interest in three aspects of Tritec motor's development:
(1) BMW chose to created a new motor for the MINI instead of redesigning existing Rover powerplants;
(2) The motor was designed to have all ancillary assemblies (PS, alternator, SC, etc.) on one side of the block in order to provide enough space under the bonnet for a safety crush-zone;
(3) The JCW version of the SC motor has a remarkable HP/liter number, considering it is not a turbo.
Who knows what the new PSA venture and it's twin-scroll turbo 1.6 liter motor will bring to us!

Technically, it is a German Ripoff of the Mini since Dodge is owned by Daimler. ;) :D
And there is no need to worry, really. I doubt that a Dodge will be as good as a Mini.
Take it as a compliment that they try to emulate you. They fail miserably, but they try.
