I just switched my gauge cluster for an S52 M3s. Works well except that the temperature gauge which previously sat exactly at 12 o'clock now sits about 5 degrees toward the red zone. No other changes to the car. Is there any way to get it back up to 12 o'clock. (Maybe changing the cluster temperature sending unit in the head.

this is normal, I have the same thing in my car (323is with S52 and matching cluster).

I have additional temp sensors that indicate that everything is running within spec.

you can "readjust" the needle to noon if you are that picky.

Just open your cluster, push the needle back to the left a little with your finger, be gentle.

Note: the needle will be sitting in the "cold" when you unplug the connectors

This is a trial error method until have the needle is at dead center at normal operating temp.
