I have a euro version 1996 320i and am unable to order parts without having stateside version. Any gurus know the answer. Might be obvious but I cant figure it out.

Not sure exactly what you mean so please excuse me if I give you a dumb suggestion but as far as I know there isn't a US 320i version, there's a Canadian one... 323, 325 and 328 are all equiped with six-cylinders engines and I believe they are pretty similar so most of your parts are the same as theirs. What you can do is go to realoem . com and enter your part # (if you don't have it you can easily find it first) and then see which other BMWs also have this part... that's what I do when I need a part.

There hasn't been a 320i imported to the US since rhe E21, I believe. There definitely were no US E36 320i's and no E46 4-bangers imported at all.

Strangely enough, the European 320I is a 6-cylinder, similar the the M50. They also have diesels in their model line-up.

sounds right to me. i have an E21 320i but it has a 1.8 M10 (go figure), reduced down from 2.0 in the early E21s.

The Georgia State Patrol received three E36 320i sedans from BMW in 1996.
