It appears to be a small LED light, broken, whos purpose i cannot imagine.

looks like the light that would be for the ashtray.

Yes that is most definitely the light that goes to the ash tray. There are no clips or anything to hold it on, it just sits in a hole in the bottom of the ash tray. So if you pull the ash tray out you never knew it was connected to anything (ask me how I know?) ;)

yes, it is the light that fits into the ash tray.

oh, it's not an LED BTW, just a regular little bulb.
