It doesn't hurt to try Carmax for an appraisel.

I've been in the Autotrader for about 3 weeks, online and the mag and I still have her.

GL on the sale of your TL!

Car looks great, good luck with your sale. . . but I would suggest including the following information:

Recent maintenance, history of services, modification list, problems (sratches, mechaincal, electrical, etc), etc etc. . .

What "issues" would you say your car has?
What things would you want to have fixed if you were keeping it?
*also, any rust?

Eventually the clutch will have to be replaced.
Any related suspension parts like bushings, etc., everything checked out when installing the new suspension and alignment @ 110K.
I would repaint the hood to repair the road rash up front.
I have a air bag light that's been on since I've had the car. Dealership says it's the passenger seatbelt buckle.
Heated driver seat just went out last winter. Heating element in the seat itself not the switch.

No rust!

I work for BMW, and we see those seatbelt buckles trip lights all the time. Easy/cheap fix (if it's the problem).

it has 125k see post number 4.

If it was under 100k, I have a buyer for you but hes not looking for anything over 100k miles unless...

-We take a look at it and its in pristine condition (mechanically).
-if the price is negotiable

Sorry, the wife would not be happy!! I bought a new truck before we decided to start the addition on our house and the deal was I would sell some toys so we could do it right!

I'll be looking down the road for another BMW when the time comes. This is my first BMW and it's all that I researched and more. It's the best built car I've ever owned, I owned muscle cars, imports, trucks and motorcycles and the E39 is the best of the best!

Nice 540 Bro. Any modifications? Any dings or scratches that the pictures do not reveal?

Mostly exterior mods, front lip spoiler, M-tech rear bumper, Magnaflow 14830 muffler, Bilsteins sports with H&R sport springs, M5 rear sway bar, OE M5 wheels, M5 kidney grilles, Hella Halogen angel eyes, Clear tails and side markers, Understeer SSK, Shadowline moulding w/ license plate delete. Engine is totally stock, just did CPS, Valve cover and oil pan gaskets and plugs. Trans and rear have RP fluids in them both.

Hood and front bumper normal road rash for a 9 year old car and passenger front fender lip has a small chip, other than that she's very clean.

I used DAS (Dependable Auto Shippers) from San Jose Ca. to Maryland. They shipped a 1 ton Ford truck I bought a few years ago and that was $1100.00

I have the following that will go with the car when sold:

Stock halogen headlight assemblies (hazed over and pass. unit the adjusters are broken)

Stock tail lights and side markers.

OE sport springs and sport rear sway bar.

Stock shifter.

Rear wheel bearings (NIB)

The style 19's were sold shortly after I refinished them.

Purchased @ 100K 3 yrs. ago this October.

Clutch is fine and showing no signs of failure. It is the original clutch and I had that on my radar to replace, once it was time.

Here's a couple pics!

I'm glad this thing sold.

Because it was nice and I am having the hardest time finding a low mileage 540 that I kept seriously considering this one.

It looks to be a well kept car.
