Hi all,

This california car was owned by a close family friend, who is a producer of Vision Media as well as a member of the Acadamy of Motion Picture. (I think that's what it's called, anyway, he votes for the Acadamy Awards) Who lives in Burbank, California.

He bought the car from a reputable dealer, and a friend, at about 112,000. He drove it for a few years, driving back and forth from home and work down in Pasadena, CA, on the freeway. The car then was driven up to 212,000 just fine, with all maintenance, and receipts kept. The car was repainted the original black, the front leather was redone, so it looks very nice. Here is the list of maintenance:

6/2000: Coolant System Check, Replace Thermostat, Fan Clutch, All Drive Belts
10/2000: Replaced Heater Valve and Aux. Pump
10/2000: Replaced Driver Door Window Motor
12/2000: New BMW Windshield
1/2001: Replaced Clutch
4/2001: BMW Dealership Recall of Radiator Cap, Replaced
1/2002: CA Smog Check and Results: PASSED
7/2002: Replaced Water Pump, Front Engine Seal Replaced, Checked A/C, Coolant
9/2002: New Paint, Matched to Original Black, UV Sunshield
9/2002: New Battery
2/2003: New Brake Pads, New Master Cylinder, Driveshaft Flex Disc and Transmission Mounts, as well as all Drive Belts Replaced
1/2004: CA Smog Check and Results PASSED
All Oil Changes from Jiffy Lube back to before 6/01

Front Leather seats were also redone, just don't have a receipt for it, pretty easy to tell though, they're in great condition. Anyway, my friend had noticed that at 55MPH the front end shakes, so he took it into the dealership, they quoted him $1,500 to replace the Upper Control Arms and other various parts (that don't need to be replaced). So I asked if I could buy it. Bought it in 3/2005, drove it until now at 224,000 miles, still running good. I purchased new upper control arms, with 750iL bearings, just haven't installed them yet.

When I had it checked out by a trusted repair shop about purchasing it, he said it has a slight oil leak, but as long as you keep the oil level up, it'll run fine and you won't need to pay the $$ to find and repair it. Also now believed to have a small coolant leak as well, after a few weeks of driving, the Check Coolant light comes on and you have to refill the tank. No overheating has ever occured, and I believe to have found the small leak. Shouldn't be too difficult, I'm just looking into a new car for the future.

The other thing I've had troubles with is the door locks recently. The drivers side lock is had to turn and has trouble locking. Probably has to do with water in it, but haven't tried to figure it out.

So with all that, a great car that runs strong and fast, with the Getrag 5 speed manual, Black on Black Leather, I'm selling it cheap so I can have a downpayment on a new car.

Located in Salem, Oregon, willing to work to get it to you. This has been my daily driver and has been very reliable. Will get pictures up tonight hopefully. If there's any questions please email me, PM me, or post! I'm going to ask $3000 locally, but for you all, I'd take $2500.

Let me know what you guys think!
Thanks!
