As the topic says, just wanting to know if 225/45/17 will rub on a stock suspension E36 92' 325i?

And second question being, will 225 tires fit on a rim that is 7.5 inches wide?

1) How wide of tires can I go on 17" tires? if 225 doesnt rub, what else?

2) What is the widest tire I can put on a 7.5" rim?
