Has anyone had any luck with fitting 255/40/17s on the rear of their M? I have Volk Racing TE-37 wheels that are 8" wide with an offset of 38mm. I have the tires already (Yoko A520) and want to see if its even worth trying to fit them. By eyeing it, its a very close fit. I've had a set of 255/30/18s on BBS RCs with a 38mm offset before and it worked by rolling the fenders.

If you fenders are rolled, it really shouldn't be a problem. They fit fine on stock 8.5" wheels (41mm offset), even lowered a tad.

You do not want to run a 255/40 on an 8" wide wheel. Get yourself some 8.5" or 9" wheels first. Stick to 245/40 for your TE37's.

I agree. i put 255/40/17 on my stock 8.5 wheels and they looked stupid! Bulged too much and rubbed like crazy on stock suspension.
