Feels awesome, I'll have a full write up soon, but I am running 15mm RE spacers/studs up front for clearance and 245/35-18 tires, it grips like a motha'. With the dampers set at mid point (8) the ride feels very close to stock, I may actually stiffen them up a little more. No buckboard ride like the Bilstein/H&R combo on past M3's. I'm very happy with the suspension.
I do however have a noise on the front passenger corner I'm trying to isolate.
Intermittent knocking/bumping noise like its rubbing on the fender while going over bumps but when I remove the wheel I have no sign of rubbing anywhere on the tire or the inside of the fender/wheel well. And with the door open on that side and bouncing on the door sill the fender doesn't appear to be anywhere close to hitting and I can't reproduce the noise.
I am going to remove the wheel when I get home tonight, check again for rubbing marks, and recheck all my bolts and go from there.

Awesome! Glad you got everything sorted out bro. I'm sure we are all looking forward to a full review soon.
As for the noise, check your bushings. Sounds like one may be worn out if nothing is loose.

Yeah, I'm just going to have to go over that corner with a fine tooth comb to make sure its nothing big and just the damaged fender from my run in with a deer.
I had no issues before install so I'm not sure what bushings to check but I will go over them to see if anything is loose.
Thanks.
I have the perches set a little over half way on all 4 corners and the car already sits lower than my M3's running Bilstein and H&R sports, I could easily drop the car another 1 1/2+ inches if I wanted.

They put Bilsteins on Fords and Chevy's ;)
The Tein stuff is really nice, it just happens to be made in Asia

While GC is an American company that assembles suspensions and fabricates some of the pieces, the major components are Dutch (Koni) and German (Eibach). Although Eibach now has production plants in the USA.

That was my only point. I am well aware of who makes the major components of their product.

does anyone else with the SS coilovers notice that on the rear shocks when adjusting the dampners.. i set them all the way on softest setting (counterclockwise ) then start turning clockwise to make them stiffer starting with the first click and every click after that it feels harder to turn ?? the fronts dont do this i turn them all the way down and start adjusting clockwise for stiffer and i can turn 16 clicks very smooth. but the rears trying to turn clockwise doesnt feel as smooth as the fronts. i still get a CLICK for each turn and can get 16 clicks out of it but just feels a little tougher to turn each click than the fronts.

I have the Tein Basics on my M. Great product, nice fit and finish, and the ride is great.

I'm thinking of picking up the Tein SS-Pillowballs. Pretty expensive though

Anyone running tein ss-p with edfc?
How does it compare with bilstein pss9? If you've driven in both.

Seth, I think this guy is joking. His train of thought is that of an un-exposed american brand loving hick. let's reference the brand haterage thread in something awful's automotive insanity: True automotive insanity (http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1851970)

If i'm running stock M contours what is the smallest spacer that I would need. I don't want the front wheels pushed out anymore than they have too.

10mm. That's what I run up front on my M3/4 with Tein Basics and 7.5" contours. Can't get my finger between the spring and the inside of the tire, but there is some space. Probably around 5-8 mm.
and FYI, I finally tried putting one of my 8.5" wheels up front with 10mm spacers and Tein Basics...no go. It took some effort to spin the wheel by hand while it was jacked up. My guess is that I would need a 15mm spacer to fit the 8.5" contour up front.

Just wundering why you used the spacer?? Ive got the same setup and about 5-8mm up front space. I thought it was enough, you think this is bad? I just dont want to buy spacers if i dont have to.

It seems that fitment is different for everyone. For some reason, needed the spacer. Maybe this weekend I will try taking it off again and see what happens. I am getting different tires, and its possible that the 225-45-17 Sumitomos that I have now are wider than the 225-45-17 Falken 452's that I am getting tomorrow.....
yeah, spacers suck
