View Full Version : What type of spacers will work with my HRE's? Longer studs/wheel locks? 285/30T1r's?

I am about to get some new tires (285/30/19) for my rear wheels (19x10 +18). Right now the wheels are slightly rubbing on the coilovers (KW V2). I also had some inner fender rubbing in the rear when I was running Nitto 275/30/19’s. I think spacers are the key to it all considering that there is definitely some useable room between the outside edge of the tires and my fender flares. I really want to run 285’s in the rear to complement the M3 engine, the subframe reinforcements, and the LSD which I need to get this week. Any thoughts on this would be very helpful, thanks.

Bump...I am picking up a 3:23 LSD tomorrow:redspot and my new Toyo T1R's... 285/30/19's :redspot

Looking forward to this day...Its been almost 4 years since I have had M3 power backed with a limited slip diff. :evil2

I do know for sure though that I will need to get some spacing going on. I need to eliminate this rubbing on the coilovers. There is far less movement now that I have UUC sway bars but I still know there will also be rubbing of tire against the inner fender if I have any passengers in the car. I need to bring the wheel out about 1/2" I feel. I am not really sure if my HRE's have a chamfered center or a hubcentric center. Which company offers the best spacers anyway?

Thanks for anything guys,

Sean

I moved this to the wheel/tire forum to help you get some responses. I know that H&R makes good spacers, but I do not know if they will work for your application. Most people I know just get the HRE wheels made to fit their application rather than using spacers.
