hey guys, someone from my school just got a mini cooper s, grey color, white roof, fully loaded, nav, pdc, etc... had 400 miles on it i think, he paid 35k out the door i think! That's ridiculous, at first he said 40, and he was joking, but 35k is still a lot, i can get that car for 24-27k max! jeezus, and it was sitting on the lot, i think it was one of those test drive mules, where everyone drives them hard for the test drives and shit, on another note, i was viewing some auction reports, this past wednesday an sl55 amg black, got sold for 157,500, had 61 miles on it! damn that's cheap compared to the markups there are gonna be...

35K is waaaaaaaaaay too high. I would get an MCoupe and half a dozen other cars in that price ranger before I paid that outrageous price.

I think the seller is smokin'!:laugh

We just picked up our MCS. We got premium package; sport package; plus we added leather and NAV. It had 5 miles on it. We got it for $26K. We paid a modest markup, but the original markup was ridiculous ($5K to $8K over for all of the cars on the dealer's lot).

These markups you see on these cars are very negotiable. A good negotiator can walk away with a pretty good deal.

Anyhow, we've had the car for five days; we're very happy with it. We still have about 900 miles til we can open it up. Should be interesting to see what she can do.

Take care.

Nope, he's waiting to buy a nicer car... right now he's driving a 89 accord that he beats the ever loving shit out of :D Now he's thinkin about getting a boxter :dunno

Over the summer when I was hanging out with him he changed his mind about what car he wanted to many times.... s2k ->s4 -> m3 -> civic si -> camaro ss-> m3 -> boxter lol, who knows what the hell he'll end up with...

wtf he even considered an Si? shit, yeah i remember, he wanted an m3 first, then s2k, then boxster, i said s4, he said one of his friends already has one, i think he should get the m3 or s2k, or boxster S, not a regular one, i haven't talked to him over the summer though

I talked him out of the si. I told him the same thing about the boxter... get the S... but apparently its too much $$ so he's goin for the regular one and he's going to get the S suspension :dunno

ahh that's gay, boxster is slow, but i think it still handles well, and has a nice engine sound to it :D i still think he should get s2k or e36 m3... does he have any idea when he will want to buy a boxster? Does he want new or used? And do u know what his budget is?

Kyle K.

I think budget is somewhere around 30k... and he's looking for a 2000 boxster. If he starts wondering who told you all this just tell him it was Kyle :D
