Ok, so here's what happened: Replaced the heater core, and bentley said disconnect airbag. I did, and then subsequently had to cycle the key a few times while it was disconnected. Reconnected everything, including air bag, and now the SRS light is on solid on the dash. How do I get rid of it? Does it just need to be reset like the service indicator lights? Any help appreciated!

Thanks!!!!

You'll get an SRS light if the ignition is turned on with an airbag disconnected. The fault just needs to be reset. That's can be done by a dealer or indie shop, of if you can find someone with an SRS tool you can do it yourself.

Any time one has to disconnect an air bag it is best to first disconnect the battery and leave it disconnected until the air bag has been reconnected.

Where the hell is Ames? and when will you be back there? I've got the tool, and every three weeks my sister make a trip to Des Moines... Maybe I can reset it for you..
