Cracked windshield

My windshield wiper cracked my windshield somehow. It was raining and my wiper kept making a clicking noise. Then, the wiper kind of goes sideways and hits my windshield, giving it a nice circular crack. The wiper's plastic is broken too in the exact spot where it would have hit the windshield.

Ugh.

I can't picture this...did the wiper crack the windshield or just scratch it as it made it's arc?

It's hard to picture myself, but the wiper came off what connects it to the car and it turned complete around...I'll go try to get pics.

EDIT: Yes, it cracked it well. There are multiple cracks going out in a circular pattern and looks like it was hit there by something, maybe the metal part of the wiper.

Not a problem - I assume you guys get free glass cover under your insurance, like us?? I cracked 3 windscreens in 2 years - didn't have to pay a cent from new ones - the last replacement was top-shaded green instead of black, but it still looked OK.

Weird fault though...

you can get your insurance to cover it if you've got glass coverage.
