Its about that time for some new tires on the rear. This time around I am going a little wider in preparation for a TT stg2 kit. I am thinking of running 285/30YR19's with spacers. With Nitto 275/30/19's I had a bit of inner fender rubbing but plenty of space on the outside edge. I feel I could even fit295's but I don’t want to take any chances. Is there any reliable way to measure the max size I could fit in there or is it all trial and error?

Tire rack is trying to get $409 per tire which seams a bit high.

Does any one have any personal thoughts on the PS2's? I had the original pilot sports on my 95 M3 back in the day and I trusted them with my life daily. Great tires.

Thanks for any input on all this. Got to make sure my money is well spent.

if you like the pilot sports you will love the PS2's. Everyone i have talked with says they are even better then the original pilots...but they are VERY pricey even compared to the original pilot sports...and as far as i have seen tire rack is about the cheapest you will find most tires...

Damn, I guess I will have to treat my self to PS2's a little later on in life. Almost $900 shipped for two tires is just out of the question right now. Come to think of it...I am about to have my limited slip diff and I will surly be drifting around twice as much as I do now. Do you recommend any cheaper tires that are still predictable at the limit and have a longer tread life than PS2's? I already know I will be showing off a little bit with the LSD...its been almost four years since I have had a limited slip behind M3 power. Thanks for any advice

The Bridgestone S03 is 308.00 per tire in the 285/30R19. They would be a comparable tire to the PS2 at 100.00 less per tire.
If I can help let me know.

try treaddepot.com or something like that...... they rock on the toyo pricing.... the new t1r is supposed to have a harder sidewall than the previous t1s
