I hit a tire with my car, and it killed one of the rings, so i had to tackle this job tonight of changing out the bulbs. I looked for a writeup on this process, and found none, so I'm writing one just in case anyone in the future runs into the same problem.

Replacement bulbs are easily found. Just go to Radio Shack and get some 5mm bulbs that they have. I chose the 3.7V blue variety, which ended up matching exactly with the ones that were in the other 3 rings. Apparently, the original maker of these LED angel eyes gets his parts from Radio Shack? hehe. They sell blue, white, yellow, red, orange, and green i believe.

Forgive the grease in the fingernails.:rolleyes

1) Remove the 4-6 screws holding the plastic radiator cover
2) Remove the corner light by depressing the plastic tab on the side of the headlight. Slide the light out.
3) Remove the 4 retaining screws that secure the headlamp assembly to the car. 2 on top, and 2 on the sides.

4) Lift the assembly up, swing the centermost part out first, and then lift it completely out. (If you have xenons, play with the ballasts and wiring in order to maneuver the assembly out. You don't need to completely disengage the assembly's harness, just enough to get it out of the car.)
5)Pop off the back plastic covers by unclipping the tabs.
6)In my car (with the Xtec kit), there were 4 screws holding in the low beam assembly. Remove those, and pull that assembly out. (or do whatever is necessary to remove yours)
7)If you have to remove the high beam assembly, there should be 2 screws holding that in.
8) Take a razorblade/screwdriver and break the rubber seal holding the back side of the entire headlight assembly with the black piece that surrounds the front clear section. Once you break this seal, you can pry the two sections entirely in half, and the clear part will fall forward, separating the clear pice, and angel eye rings from the rest of the harness and rear part of the headlight casing.
9) There are 4 screws in the retainer that holds down the ring. Remove them. The actual ring should be free now.

10)Pull off the brown(negative) and grey wires, then use some pliers to pull out the actual bulbs.
11)Get a new bulb, and notice that one of the metal leads is longer than the other. The longer one is the positive lead. Cut the leads a little shorter so they fit well in the small space, and reconnect the wires.

Start the car, and check to see if the lights work correctly. If not, you may have a bad resistor or loose connection in your wiring.

After you assemble everything back together, start saving up your money so you can buy a CCFL kit from Umnitza. ;)

Its fine. What I may do now in order to the the outermost rings to be seen a bit more (the low beams drown them out) is try to mask off or paint some of the reflective parts between the ring and the low beam. I think it would help define it a bit more.

Probably, that is how the new predator chromiums work from umnitza, they are just a silver backed thing behind the plastic ring. Um CCFL tubes in the blue your looking for arent that pricey like 200 mabye.

I have one of my bulbs busted again for the third time. I might just have it all disconnected since i already have a good picture of it. =)
