i have a 1993 325is that i bought 3 months ago. i am finaly starting to get a feel for how the car handles and reacts when cornering. (i am only 17 and i went form a 1986 auto toyota truck) but last week i noticed that the car felt like the front end was pussing (sliding) a little bit. this was only on hard left turns. so i checked tire pressure and the front left rim was wrapped a Champiro hpz 45. on the other three i have yokohama es100.
could this be the reson for the pushing feeling?
is it bad to have 2 different type of tires??
i think i reilly like es100
thanks

As long as they are the same size and shape you won't damage anything. Your car will handle funky with them being different left to right though.

Ummm I don't think it's such a good idea to run two different front tires. Different front tires from rear tires would be okay. but...two different front tires..

I feel exactly the same way. It would be okay for someone driving the car real mellow (ie your mom). But with a car that's driven hard, you don't want any unexpected handling coming up in 90mph mid-apex sweeper.

This is a fundamental safety issue. Probably a good idea to replace that odd-ball with another es-yoko sometime. Or just drive mellow till you have the $.

You should have same tires for front or back... different manufacturer tires will fit differently even when they're same size. Not to mention grip.
Get same manufacturer, same model/type tire for front or back set.

The traction control system is much less effective with different types of tires. When I bought my car, I had 3 different types and I could get the car into a slide. When I changed to all Pirelli Pzero Nero, I can barely break it loose in a turn.
