as you probally know i have the 2003 m3, i took that out this evening along to my parents and thought i'll pace it a little. got up to about 80 on the free way, went and did my usual at my parents, without noticing any problems with the m3. got back in the m3 to get back home and accelorated with the normal bliss and ease. then about 10 miles from home my car decided to loose speed, i floored out the accelorator which took me up only another 5mph i dropped a gear still no effect, i took it into N and revved it hard and back into gear and still no pull. eventually the car got down to 30 mph on a road with a speed limit of 70 mph, i decided to pull over and have the car towed home. i am awaiting my dealer opening in the morning to find out whats wrong :( it sounds like when my dads catalitic converter when in his old 1998 323i. any one know what this could be? thanks in advance

Alot of things. I had an 82 Z28 that did the samething right before the motor seized. Not saying it is that, but that those symptons are hard to diagnose.

Could be something electronic. Maybe fuel pump? Something to do with the fuel getting to the engine? Just a guess.
