I was looking at getting 17X8.5 rims w/ the 40mm offset from tirerack. Will I be able to run 245/40/17 tires all the way around on my 1995 M3?

Yup. Same setup I ran on a stock suspension with no problems.

Did you have to run spacers in the front? Did the 245/40r17's rub at all?

Normally you would not need a spacer. Most people do run a little more negative camber. If I can help let me know.

Hey Jim can I run 245 all around on H&R Race I have no spring pads in the rear too. is it better to run the all around same size being that they are 8.5s.

I hope you get back to this before I get my wheels bought tomorrow.

I ran 245/40/17 with H&R race. No rubbing, should be fine. You should also get the same size all around.
