hi, a friend has the stock wheels to his e46 m3 18x8 and 18x8.5 and i would like to know if they would fit my car... 1995 e36 m3. any help would be apprieciated...

nope, offset out back is too low, meaning your wheels would stick out past your fender and you would rub without making changes back there.

If you had 4 front 18x8s, it would work.

I've been told that the stock E46 M rears will not clear on my E36 M unless I use narrower tires. The 255 is too wide for the wheel well without rolling the fender, which I'm not interested in.

A 245 could work I suppose since '96+ use them, unless offset is an issue.

Offset is the issue. Otherwise, 255s can be placed out back on 18s.
