Well I finally took the risk and bought a pair of ebay tail lights. I just could not justify paying the high price of OEM. Anyways the lights are great. Fitment is near perfect and the only problem I had was removing and reinstalling in the new housings the old bulbs. I must have touched one of the bulbs with my fingers and had to get a new one but now everything lights up perfect and NO OBC errors! The ebay seller is eurosportgarage and they have a 99.4% feedback rating. For 55$ plus shipping I'd say a great deal. I only have one picture of them right now and could provide more if anyone is intruiged.

The lights look great. I was interested in buying some off of ebay as well but i was not sure if they were any good. I think now i am going to have to get a set of them.

Dunno about the bulb issue... it's okay to touch them, they're not halogen. Otherwise, congrats. I have DEPO lights. They look great. Only issue I have is a finickly driver side backup light... it has to be in really tight to work, and sometimes it gets loose... just have to open it up, tighten it, and I'm good to go. Dunno about OBC errors, my '92 318 doesn't have one. :)

Girlfriend has stock BMW clears, and even she has some issues sometimes with lights, so don't let that discourage you.

Enjoy!

Ya I really am surprised. The first night after I got back from school they came and I had to throw them in and at first it said tail light failure and I was like s*** i knew it but then I noticed that one of the 2 bulbs that light up when the tail lights are on was out I felt relieved and after I replaced the bulb today no errors or anything. They were well packaged and theres no drip from the red into the clear part like some ebay lights supposedly have.

now I just have to get my m3 mirrors from the GB painted and put on...

EBay is the way to go. I have smoked ones, perfect fit, no OBC error. Love it.

They work great, and have no OBC error. However, I have the same ones on my car, which have been there for several years, and over time they do start to screw up. The circuit board or the pin connection with the BMW harness is crap to begin with, or degrades over time perhaps. Either way, my brake lights went out, and once I jiggled and taped the connection in place to make them work, my reverse lights went out, then the signal indicators after that, etc. I finally have it working now, but there's about 5 lbs of tape in my trunk :rolleyes. Right now the only problem I have is that when in reverse, and on the brakes, the left turn signal flashes like a strobe light if used. Not a big deal, and better than the other errors I was having, but definately a painto get this small error instead of the bigger ones.

For the price, I would take used OEM clears or something over new eBay ones. That's just my opinion though.

I also have tails from ebay. I was expecting cheap, so I wasnt surprised when I had to fight em a little to fit the bulbs in...but they do the job, and were worth the little that I payed for

Sweet, I was actually looking at this same seller. At first I was hesitant, but at that pricepoint it might be worth the gamble. I just can't get myself to pay $200+ for clear tails, especially since they give 0 horsepower.

Has anyone with ebay tails had problems like water leaking into them during rain or carwash?

I go through carwashes, storms, NO leaks whatsoever. They are the perfect fit.
