WOW  :eyecrazy :redspot :buttrock :alright
So i had always been looking for a good chip for my 318 for a while. but $200 for a dinan one didnt really seem worth it for me. Steve at fastenwerks had an old S&K chip that i got for a good price and i installed it tonight. WOW not much of a difference before 3k rpm but once you got past that that into the 3250-6500 range it was such a big difference. i got on it in 2nd gear, bam right into 3rd gear and before i know it im at 85 mph. i think that he is going to start carrying them and if you have a 318 this is a great mod.
Any questions fell free to ask!!
Seppi
P.S. Steve how high was the rpm limit raised to. thanks again

Anyone have experience with one in a 325? How does it compare to a TMS chip?

Hey Seppi,
The rev limiter is raised above 7k. I got to be too big of a puss at 7k, our harmonic balancer can't handle much more than that.
As for the CEL, when it's cold outside the CEL comes on from time to time. It's pretty common with the advanced timing.
It was proven on the dyno that that chip made 19HP in the above 3200 RPM range.
The chip is the best investment you can make. I am going to start carrying them, I am just not sure on the pricing yet.
They'll probsbly be in the $150-200 range. I am not certian yet.
They make chips for all OBD1 cars and there is a UNI-Chip for PBD2 cars.
I will definitely keep everyone posted on the happenings of that.

If you price these below $200 that would be insane. Better stock up should decide to do that ;)

i think he will be getting flooded with orders
I'd be running that chip after Christmas were it already for sale. I had to point the 'rents in the Conforti direction instead though :shifty

Awesome. Will do.
I was absolutely shocked once I put it in. I only lost about 5-10 miles per tank.
I suspect it may be because of my heavier foot too :p
