View Full Version : What would it take to drive this car in the US?

I just ran across this, looks like a very nice find, though I'm wondering what it would take to register it here at this point. Due to the age of it, do all those federalization procedures still have to occur? If I were to get it, it would be registered in Alabama, most likely. Note: Alabama doesn't have inspections or emissions checks.

Well, apparently I can't post a link. So, look on autotrader, at zip 92009, for a '92 325i. A guy has a Euro there, still has his euro plates on it, 88k miles, gray color, cloth interior, Mtech steering wheel, rear fogs, euro ellips, etc., $4000. Yeah, $4k.

I doubt it is a European model.

just because your state doens't have emmssion checks doesn't mean you can import any car you want into the country, it still has to meet the right emmssion laws to be run in any goverment paid road.

not worth it to import, a lot of money
