I replaced my stock headlights with Depo Euros with the Predator Chromium options a few weeks ago when my car needed body work. The first issue was that the body shop guy hooked up the wires reversed and blew one of the ballasts out for the angel eyes. I ended up getting a new ballast for $20 shipped(Matt at umnitza has been very helpful). Then I hooked it up and both the angel eyes on the drivers side looked fine(side with new ballast), but the one on the right side was super bright.

This is what it still looks like before I start the car and the others brighten up.

I was informed that this could happen if the connectors were loose so I soldered the wires and removed the connectors, but this only helped a bit.
After a few seconds of the car running they all end up reaching the brightness of the one bright one. I am beginning to think that something in the passenger side ballast was shot since it was not replaced. I might try replacing it next.

Well this week I noticed that the one halo in the drivers side sometimes comes on and sometimes it doesn't. I am going to take the headlight apart and recheck everything.

Am I the only one who has had these issues?

The next issue was no matter what bulbs I ended up getting the glow on the headlight housing looked yellow and didn't match the angel eyes. So I ended up purchasing the Xenon HID 6000K package which should be here next week.

Also, I expected the beam pattern to be flat, not have the two corners like in this thread:

I guess I should have read more to know what the difference between the two is.

This is what it looks like now when it is working. Can't wait for the HID's so my headlights match.

Umnitza has been very helpful and they have a great product. None of this was their fault. I just wish that I knew in advance some of the things I was in for. Such as the beam pattern, and not finding any headlights to match.

Has anyone had issues like this with the angel eyes?

It's pretty difficult to match the DDE's without HID or blue coated bulbs. I do not recommend blue coated bulbs as they decrease output.

The euro cutoff is present in the DEPO and ZKW no matter what, and it's just how they were designed as the ZKW has the ECE flare, and the DEPO you purchased is a copy of it.

There are ways to modify your existing shield to have a DOT cutoff that is flat with a small notch in the middle, but that means opening up the projectors. Some people here have done it by putting a flat piece of metal where the cutoff shield is.
